Trump and Vance have so thoroughly debased themselves before Putin that their foreign policy now resembles little more than a concierge service for the Kremlin’s geopolitical ambitions.
If there remained any illusion that Donald Trump and his enablers, like Vice President J.D. Vance, represented the interests of democracy and freedom, their Oval Office confrontation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dispelled it. What should have been a moment of measured diplomacy instead morphed into a showcase of arrogance, ignorance, and outright hostility toward a leader who has stood as the last line of defense between Russian aggression and the security of Europe. It was a display so shameful, so steeped in moral cowardice, that it will be remembered as one of the lowest points in American foreign policy.
